This was the first collection of stories I had encountered by B G Nevils, but it won't be my last. Save for a few grammatical mistakes and uninentioned misspellings, his stories contain a grit that can't be purchased with a leather jacket or by drinking at a seedy bar, they come from a lifetime of struggle, and contain a silent strength, much like the author I imagine. Favorite stories from this collection included The Rendevous, The Derelict, and the first chapter from his novel. I look forward to reading his first full length novel when it's finished.
Fun to read, good variety of interesting and well written short stories! Read whole book in one sitting. Would recommend.
